I don't understand how some people reach credits in the millions, when it took me 5 months to reach 18,000

Boinc Manager will not allow cross-project ID

I don't have my password and my old e mail address is from an account that I no longer have. I managed to have the ID mailed to that address, but I can't access it. I can not ask a question on Boinc without signing in. I can't sign in, because I don't have a password or ID. I am going around in circles. I am up to 2,100 points and don't want to lose them by signing up again and starting all over.

Boinc Manager will not allow cross-project ID

Go to your acct and refresh your pass word. The CPID is only used by the system, to ID you on other projects so the stats can be listed under your name.....
Hello Jim,
I have a dilemma, I'm not sure which account to go to & perhaps how to get there. Until today, the only distributed anything was Seti@home and I had my account there but since it's switching to BOINC, BOiNC gave me a CPID which I first saw on my Seti page. Somewhere in all the BOINC related web pages I've been through in the last few days I assigned a password different than the CPID. It might be on the Seti message board, I will have to check.
Trying to sign into Rosetta failed that password and CPID but using my CPID in boinc manager while attaching to Rosetta as a new account in turn gave me a different CPID for Rosetta. I did not want two CPIDs so I detached Rosetta from Manager and it is no longer showing in my system and I have no idea what that new CPID was as I didn't write it down.
BOINC is certainly not user friendly for the casual person who wants to help the research. Ask me to decompress a fracture and I can do that easily but ask me to navigate these hallways of BOINC and it's another story. I'm sure many learned people spent many hours in discussions trying to get it right but I suspect not enough input was used from non-scientists in developing the interface. Perhaps there is a L/P option on the main page to get to one's BOINK account but if so, I missed it.
So can you suggest what website I need to sign into, to "refresh" my password? I would think once a password, always a password until I change it.
Thanks,
Gary
