In the last couple of days RALPH is totally unreachable: can't report WU that were already uploaded, cant upload newly finished WUs, cant' fetch scheduler list, can't access website itself... Any idea about what's going on and how long this will last? Bye darkpella See this thread. How come RALPH users are having the same problems as us Rosetta crunchers? Are the two projects on the same servers, by any chance? And are the servers down,by any chance?

Hey mods, any info on this prob. The last prob. was the XML updates which didn't happen for 4 days, info was posted after the prob was fixed. Let's post and complain multiple times every day when something goes wrong, and then be completely silent 99.5% of the time when things are working perfectly!!!!!!11 Well done Baker chaps!! I usually post all my positive comments in the 'ShoutBox' on BOINCstats, as the forum environment I find somewhat, what's the word I'm looking for, pompous, like making comments similar to yours.
7) Message boards : Number crunching : XML stats not updating (Message 48828) Posted 19 Nov 2007 by Seejay Post: There's a big difference between not implementing improvements and not getting things that were working fine back up and running in a timely manner. There's also a BIG difference between a lab for of biochemists and an IT guy or two and a dedicated IT team to do the upgrades and PLAN the upgrades and all associated "secondary" jobs that go to make the system work "perfectly". These guys are only human, give them a break. There is also a Big difference between people who get paid to do a job and volunteers who GIVE their computer time FREE of charge to HELP with biochemical projects... Give US a break too. We just want to be kept up to speed with what's going on, that's all. Everyone bickering while bakerlab SHOULD inform it's FREE outsources when things go pear-shaped.

You might want to check the title of the thread :-). The problem with them is that they're not being generated ;-). Yeah, But WHY?

Please keep this thread on topic. we want the xml stats generation fixed. Then you can complain about everything else you wish they'd do but haven't yet. I agree with you, big starfire chief. The problem is: WHAT IS THE PROBLEM TO FIX WITH THE XML STATS GENERATION? Maybe you are privy to information that us mere mortals are not. If you are, then there is a very large number of crunchers that you might want to share it with. If not, then maybe you are closer to those who are in the know...

Hopefully this will reduce the number of new threads started solely for the purpose of attracting the attention of the moderation team to a problem or complaint. This is a place for the user community to contact the moderators to provide feed back, ask for explanations for any moderator actions, request moderator actions, or get assistance that may require a moderator. Feel free to post here, but note that after the issue is address the posts will be moved to an archive thread located here. So think of this as a work queue for the moderation team. If the question is in this sticky and a moderator has not responded it has not yet been addressed. Why has nobody posted any explanation or provided any news whatsoever as to the motives behind the 4 day delay with the XML stats update. The message board has lots of questions apropos and the various stats sites are all going crazy. If what you say above is true, then please furnish us patient, VOLUNTEER, crunchers with a little info.

Fair enough... However, the 5.81 problems as reported in the requested thread have gone unattended for more than a few days. There seems to be a general lack of attention recently. That's what I'm getting at. If you look at the Home Page server situation, the date is stuck on the 15th, which was Thursday on my calender. And you're right about the 5.81 thing also, lots and lots of validate and compute errors. We would all appreciate some information.....

15) Message boards : Number crunching : Bug Reports for R@h Server Update to BOINC version 5.9.2 (Message 36253) Posted 7 Feb 2007 by Seejay Post: Please post any server and/or php related bugs here. Boinc manager displays CPU time incrementing correctly, but also shows time remaining incrementing, which then jumps down to the correct value every hour or so, then continues incrementing, jumping down, until the work unit is finished. Being new to rosetta@home, is this normal?
