Rosetta@home does not have any GPU support. The last formal word from the Project Team was that none of the existing hardware has sufficient memory available to run the application.

The Radeon HD 4870 and HD 4850 have 1GB models, you're telling me 1GB of memory is not sufficient to run Rosetta@Home but Folding@Home says it is more than sufficient?

Rosetta@Home:
Protein Folding, Design, and Docking

Folding@Home:
protein folding, misfolding, aggregation, and related diseases

Sounds the same to me.

Any idea at all? You do know the HD 4K series cards are capable of double-precision floating point mathematical operations, and is already used by Folding@Home and other applications. You have nVidia support, now add bloody ATI support, or I may take my power over to Folding@Home.

When can we expect STREAM support? Sure you have CUDA, but what about us with AMD cards, like the HD 4870 that are rated at over a Terraflop of power?

I would like to see this too. An HD 4850 and HD 4870 has over 1 Terraflop of computing power (1.0 and 1.2 I belive) and the HD 4870 x2 has over 2 Terraflops, much more than even the fastest quad core. Folding@Home has a GPU client, cant wait for Rosetta@Home.
