Problems and Technical Issues with Rosetta@home
(Message 80615)
Posted 10 Sep 2016 by No.15 Post: I am glad to see this action and I will definitely move back to Rosetta once the upgrades are done. FWIW I never had a problem with CE crunching, the more work that gets done the better. (me thinks this post went in the wrong thread. Sorry) |

Posted 7 Aug 2016 by No.15 Post: Right it is not 2 or 3 tries it is 1. If there is one issue you get 24 hour back off and all your current work does not get uploaded. You either have to consistently watch the project, be willing to lose credit or move on. It might even be ok if Rosetta's work was 2 or 3 days out but it seems their deadlines are always tight. Like I said I want to crunch Rosetta but I am not willing to baby sit it. I moved my stuff over to WCG but I will be back if this ever gets fixed. |

Crowdfounding for new servers?

Posted 19 Jul 2016 by No.15 Post: Is it possible to see a reporting about donations/grants/whatsoever and how they use money? Or these numbers are not public? A lot of people are just stomping to get the 24 hour back off changed. A small fix that would quiet a bunch of us. It would also send the message that at least the rosetta people are aware of our presence and listening to our concerns. I am aware that my cpu power was a drop in the proverbial bucket, but the lack of response has forced me to move to other projects. I know rosetta will be fine without me, but I will also be fine without them. |

Posted 17 Jul 2016 by No.15 Post: Although I am slightly miffed that the implication that my cpu time is not enough giving as I pay electricity for ~25 computers. I would like to know that if I donate money directly will it actually be used to correct thing directly related to the issues crunchers have? If it just goes to the project and they buy new beakers or flasks I have no interest as I donate to other causes. I would donate today if I knew that the 24 hour backoff would be fixed. I moved on to other projects because of it. I would rather crunch rosetta but it takes to much of my time making sure it has tasks and such. |

sending android projects issue
(Message 80337)
Posted 11 Jul 2016 by No.15 Post: If I don't keep on top of this I run into a situation where the server will defer for 24 hours. I've seen where that would cause some tasks to be late. I like this project but there is to much I have to watch. |
