I don't care about getting my name on a marquee or whatever... I just want to run this on 3 machines not on my network. Let me see if I can explain the situation and what I want. I am a systems / network admin for a company in Iraq. We do not allow non-company computers on our network. I have 2 personally owned P4 2.8 GHz 2GB RAM Dell Optiplex 270 computers running Ubuntu and a 1.7 GHz Intel dual core 1GB RAM laptop running XP / Fedora 7 (multiboot) in my living quarters. I would like to use my work laptop to download packets to crunch, take it to my room, put it on the small LAN I have there, and then let the other 3 computers work on the packets. They can then report back to the laptop, which I can carry back here to my office and hook up online to swap the completed units for new work. Is there a way to do this that wouldn't be considered cheating? I did a few quick searches here on the forum, but I didn't see anything helpful. |
