Unfortunately those jobs with such errors will not be rescued but should eventually be given credit.

Glad to hear eventually they'll be given credit ^_^

I added a 3 day grace period to the server configuration (<grace_period_hours>). Hopefully this will help otherwise I'm open to suggestions and feedback.

What about those who had work completed, but due to the DNS issues their work didn't make it through? I had two work units that finished Mar 2nd and were due Mar 3rd, but they never went through until the DNS issue was resolved, and are now showing "Too many total results" as the error.

I'm getting this error myself. Server keeps trying to send Android work to my Windows 7 machine.

So.... How goes the availability of Android work units?

So out of curiosity, do we have a reasonably specific timetable for Rosetta@Home Android tasks yet? Been some time without any work units.

I'd also appreciate Rosetta jobs for Android by preference, but if your devices are idle there appear to be an unlimited supply of tasks from WCG, though as you rightly say, not offering anything like the credit value if that's important

For the time being, my three Android devices are working away at Skynet POGS and Universe@Home. I just really liked the fact that my two Samsung Galaxy S3's (running BOINC 24/7) plus an HTC One M8 (running BOINC approximately 4.5/7 days of the week) were able to match (more or less) the output of two cores on my 4770k, which had me looking into the purchase of a few ODroid C2's and XU4's. Sure, that's 8 ARM cores (running at whatever their stock speeds are) to match two Haswell cores (running at a stock 3.9GHz), but it's still enough to catch my attention and make me contemplate the purchase of additional devices.

Credit isn't the be-all end all for me (otherwise I'd just be running Collatz and PrimeGrid, instead of the mixmash of astrophysics/astronomy and biochemistry projects I focus on), but having your ARM CPU/SoC vs desktop CPU results compare somewhat favourably against desktop products is always a nice bonus. By such I'm meaning where running Android devices feels worthwhile in comparison (Rosetta@Home, where sure it may take 3-4x devices that are a few years old to match a desktop processor, but that sure beats out say Einstein@Home where my three phones on their best days put out a whopping 750 credit total - and my 4770k's IGP put out over ten times that. If you compare the 4770k with six cores (and Gravitational Waves WU's), that 15x more work done based upon credit. Ratio seems slightly more favourable if you use the same comparison I did for Rosetta@Home (8 ARM cores vs 2 Haswell cores) where it's only 5x the difference)

Still miss my Rosetta@Home work on the Android devices though.

We do not have any android jobs queued at the moment but hope to have some in the near future.

Do we have a defined timeframe for how far in the future we're looking? This same reply was given back on the 29th of July to an inquiry I made. I would love to see Rosetta@Home running on my Android devices again because it seems to be one of the only projects where Android devices do a reasonable amount of work as it runs (at least if one goes by credits given)

Still dealing with this problem on my Android devices where it's trying to assign PC tasks to it, and I've already lost a few hundred RAC across them due to this. It's also aggravating to have to manually update them every five minutes to try and get work, only to have it keep throwing the same error message over and over again.

I have the exact reverse of this problem happening on my Android devices - for a day and a half now on three devices it's been throwing an error along the lines of tasks not being available for my device. Manually updating doesn't fix the problem (it usually defers communication for 4 minutes, reconnects, and then defers for 24 hours), and resetting, as well as removing and re-adding project wind up giving the same error as well.

Rather frustrating since it was 2-2.2k or so RAC worth of devices (2x Samsung Galaxy S3 plugged in 24/7, and 1x HTC One M8 that is plugged in for about 4 out of 7 days if you average it out (it's still my daily phone, so on weekdays will be plugged in for only 10-12 hours)) that for the time being gives me no other choice but to put towards other projects.

I have ten completed tasks, with six of them due tomorrow, and some have been sitting in my queue for over 24 hours trying to upload.

Five of the six tasks I earlier had waiting for uploads have now uploaded and automatically reported, so it looks like the problem is now PARTLY fixed.

Same, about twenty minutes ago four of them successfully uploaded. Tried the other six, and they uploaded just now.
