1) Message boards : Number crunching : Problems with Rosetta version 5.85 (or 5.86 for linux) (Message 49309)

I'm baffled here. I've had maybe 2 WUs exit with the "unusual way" message lately, but since the project came back up the other day I can't seem to complete any WUs on my main machine. My other machines aren't having any problems at all. What gives???

Finally got some 5.82s, dumped the rest of the 5.85s, and am crunching again :)

Yessss! I finally was able to merge again :)

Odd that it retired my old host, rather than the new duplicate, it looks like I have a box with 440,000 credits in only 3 months :P
4) Message boards : Number crunching : reserve wu's not downloading (Message 47067)

Hmmm....once again, BOINC let the queue run down until I had an idle core, then it downloaded about 8 days' work. At least I got work, I guess! :P

This behaviour often means "too large cache-size", atleast if you're running with a large "Connect every N days"...

Well, my queue is only set to 5 days.

This problem is only on this computer, which has two other BOINC projects (currently inactive) on it. My other computers, which are R@H only, are queueing work normally.

Well, we'll see...my box just started its last WU, the other projects are suspended. Last time it downloaded a bunch of WUs at the end, but it hasn't kept the queue full at all, just like others are experiencing.
7) Message boards : Number crunching : Is anyone getting new WU's or am I having the problem? (Message 46496)

Well, this morning I suspended my other projects, all the settings were right, and Rosetta said there was no work :( Then about 9AM the floodgates opened, and now I'm full up on WUs :)

I'm getting the same messages as the others. My other project doesn't have any pending deadlines, Rosetta is set to 71%, but it refuses to queue me any WUs.

You know, I just noticed...I changed my queue to 6 days today, my single-core box has 2 days or so of work, but both my other dual-cores have 11+ days work! These 3 machines are only crunching Rosetta. What gives???
9) Message boards : Number crunching : How to get a million credits? (Message 46401)

It is crazy how much I watch my credits. Every morning I go around and check all of the computers to make sure they are still up and running and ready for another day.

If you run BoincView you can manage all your clients from one PC :)

Naive Quad Core

Actually, I suppose the current Intel offering (non-native) would be the naive quad-core ;)

This is what I'm getting. The 'partial file' errors started on 9/3 for me.
