It seems that the client doesn't work on our machines.

run_client says it has 'insufficient work; requesting more' and hangs at that point.

boinc_mgr says that the connection to the server was refused.

I find this disappointing and unacceptable. People want to help enough to take a few minutes out of their day to install the client and execute the code. When the system doesn't work, it reflects poorly on distributed computing as a whole. It also discourages grass roots participation from volunteer users for all distributed projects.

Can you give some details of your systems?
