Hi:

I'm just wondering when bin workunits are going to be available for Sun Solaris (Sparc)..

Anyway, I left the proyect attached to my BOINC hoping that message " [rosetta@home] Message from server: platform 'sparc-sun-solaris2.7' not found" goes away..

Cheers..

The project does not have a Sun to do the development for this system. Currently the software is not publicly released and there are no plans to make a public release at this time. I will suggest this to the project team, but not having the hardware is a serious limitation.

I'm willing to donate an older ultrasparc 2 for development and can beta for older systems. (sparc 20 or ultra 5,10 and 60). please contact me if interested.

What about "i386-pc-solaris" not found? Am I totally wasting my time with this?

And about the SPARC thing, is an UltraSPARC machine still needed?

The only platfors supported by Rosetta@Home are the official BOINC platforms, they being Windows-x86, Linux-x86, MacOS-x86 and MacOS-PPC.

This is unlikly to change for quite a while.

If you look at the system requirments you would have see this
https://boinc.bakerlab.org/rosetta/rah_requirements.php

Another place to look is the current applications page
https://boinc.bakerlab.org/rosetta/apps.php

These links are available on the left of the main page.

P.S. If you are interested in helping create a version and can understand loads of code and compilation for the platform you should get in contact with the moderators (see the message board area) to see how you can help.
You might want to look at Ralph@Home (the beta testing area for rosetta@home)
