Hello Rosetta,

I have a machine running for you but the files that are ready will not update.
However I got new ones every time. A lot of WU's have run for nothing as the deadline was never meet due to thus uploading problem.
Will you do something to this, or can I find another project for this pc?

I have mentioned this over and over, and it seems I am not the only one with this. Will you please take action?
Thanks.
Greetings,
TJ.

Hello,
This is my cc_config:
<cc_config>
<log_flags>
<task>1</task>
<task_debug>1</task_debug>
<file_xfer>1</file_xfer>
<sched_ops>1</sched_ops>
<file_xfer>1</file_xfer>
<file_xfer_debug>1</file_xfer_debug>
</log_flags>
<options>
<http_1_0>0</http_1_0>
</options>
</cc_config>
I don't see any output.
Following messages from Rosetta:
3/2/2012 11:15:03 AM Re-read config file
3/2/2012 11:15:03 AM log flags: file_xfer, sched_ops, task

3/2/2012 11:16:57 AM Internet access OK - project servers may be temporarily down.
3/2/2012 11:17:42 AM rosetta@home Sending scheduler request: To fetch work.
3/2/2012 11:17:42 AM rosetta@home Reporting 5 completed tasks, requesting new tasks

I have 5 tasks ready (so they did upload) but won't go home now.
1 Task is still uploading and I don't get new work.
I have also flushed my dns list.

What more can I do? Rosetta has no server issueas at the time, as my other machine is running smooth.

Thanks for your help.
Greetings,
TJ.

Interesting ... do you know what project server your client is trying to access? (If you do, you can try running ping from the command line of the machine having issues, to see if it's reachable from non-boinc programs. You can also try visiting it in your web browser, which hopefully will redirect to the Rosetta@home home page.)

Since you're getting HTTP errors it might help to also turn on the HTTP debugging flags in the cc_config.xml file -- such as <http_debug>, <http_xfer_debug>, and for good measure, <network_status_debug> to see if there's any hints hidden there.

Its server srv4 (128.95.160.145) and indeed in the browser it goes direct to rossetta's home page.
Ping works fine as well. I also added your suggestion in the cc_config, but it is not showing anything. Rosettea won't send 5 wu's home and uploas one other.
I can wait for the deadline and then delete them again. No use for this AMD PC to run Rosetta.
Greetings,
TJ.

This problem reminds me of a curious case investigated at Einstein in which occasional workunits failed to upload. It's a long shot but perhaps it's worth checking to see if the file boinc is trying to upload is in fact still on the computer. Since you have another computer crunching for rosetta successfully you could also compare the client_state.xml files for clues. This wouldn't account for the http error messages; perhaps that has something to do with the older version of the boinc server code used by Rosetta.

Best,
