Hi,

I was running SETI@HOME and my computer was using 100% CPU power to calculate 2 tasks at the same time. I was happy with that.

Then I added Rosetta@home and Einstein@home. Now my computer only uses 50% CPU power and only calculates 1 task at the time. The other waiting tasks are marked as 'preempted'.

Why is that? And how can I change it?

Go to 'your account', 'view general preferences', 'edit', and change the multiprocessor setting to 2 (if it isn't already).

While you're there, make sure that you have 'keep applications in memory when preempted' set to yes.

(Both of these are from memory so I may not have it exactly right).
