So I was reading about some of the other BOINC projects and I see World Community Grid and Rosetta both say they are working HIV among other things. I'm sure someone smarter than myself has thought of this, but I wasn't able to find any info. Are Rosetta and WCG taking different approaches, are they dividing the work, what's the deal? I was just wondering. I want to contribute my cycles to a worthy cause.

Rosetta is working at improving the Rosetta client - which others will use for finding cures/treatments for various diseases; so we're helping to get the client ready for other projects to use.

Rosetta@home is being used by the Baker lab to study many things, including as posted below, the improvement of the Rosetta application. The Rosetta software is available, for free, to academic researchers worldwide (WCG being one).

You can think of Rosetta as a software compiler (if you have any background in programming). Improvements to this compiler result in better protein predictions, a benefit all who use it.
